The Assignment

Iron deposits have been discovered north of Whitmor on the coast-side of the Frozen Spear Mountains. Need a team to clear out the surrounding caves as evidence that wolves exist in the area has made the miners wary of entering in.

Reward: 50gp/per person

Mission Summary

• Party met with Nuraval Fallack, the Miners Association foreman on the project, to talk about what his people had seen and get details of where they need to go and what the hope is for the miners.
• Investigating the area, the party found tracks for both wolves as well as Kobolds. Natives: Kobolds would match the description of small humanoids that Nuraval mentioned.
• In the cave, they surprised and easily dispatched the wolves.
• Afterwards, they found a passage leading further into the cave through some thick vines. They cut through the vines, however Wisp noticed that the vines not cut seemingly moved away from her as she walked through.
• Through the passage, they all felt tingling in their arms and head, and felt uneasy continuing to move forward overall.
• Once through to the other side, they were met with an invisible wall like force that stopped everyone from entering into the chamber, but Wisp. A voice called out asking who they were and what their intentions were. The voice was from a stone guardian.
• Speaking with guardian, it invited them in. Suggested Wisp’s family was in high regard. But said that mining here was off limits. To head north up the mountains instead to an old Dwarven mine.
• They agreed and passed the message to the miners to leave the cave be.
