The Assignment
After receiving word that both Shinichi and Moira have been tracked down, they are once again on the run to escape from their past. And, now that work is dry in Sydund, Skilly and Altath will tag along in hopes to finding more work in Easton.
Mission Summary
- In Sydund, Shinichi and Moira are aware that they are being tracked by their past and have been located in Sydund. So, they plan on heading to Easton by way of teleportation circle to figure out what their next steps are. Hoping to get lost in the “big” city.
- Altath and Skilly decide to join as work in Sydund has slowed down considerably.
- Prior to leaving, Moira sends a letter to Svamp to let her know that she was leaving and they would meet up at some point in the future.
- They decided to leave directly after dinner. But, prior to leaving and feeling that something was wrong with Shinichi and Moira, Skilly decided to scope out the area to see if anyone was watching. While viewing the rooftops, he knew there were some unsavory folks that appeared to be watching the front entrance of the Guild Hall. Based on his report back, he noticed they appeared nervous. Questioning them, Skilly learned that they were trying to avoid some people. So, they escaped out of the back door.
- In Easton, Once they make it through the teleportation circle they find themselves in a bit of a confrontation between another Adventurers Guild group and undead spirits. They assist the other party and clear out the spirits. The party did have a wooden chest that they were carrying with them.
- The other party said that they were down in the recently located Dwarven ruins under the city and the spirits must have followed them. Apparently, there’s a lot of work in the ruins and a lot of loot, too. The other adventurers head to the Records Guild to drop off what they found. The party thought it was odd and didn’t fully trust that group. So, Skilly went to track them and see what he could learn about them. Everyone else went to check in to the Guild Hall. Skilly went into an alley to quickly disguise himself and hides amongst the crowd.
- When they checked into the Adventurers Guild, they were given three options for assignments:
- Investigate a counterfeit currency plot that seems to be happening in the Dock Ward. Could be Red Knives related.
- Look into a reports of ghosts and/or poltergeists that seem to be pranking people throughout town.
- Head into the ruins to see what knowledge and artifacts we can find.
- The other adventurers arrive at the Records Guild, wait in line, and then drop off what they find and pass on the knowledge that they received while in the ruins. Skilly also checked in to see what information he could gather and got similar rumors.
- After everyone gathered back together in the Guild Hall, they had drinks with the other Adventurers and learned more about what’s going on in the city.
