The Assignment
Altath, Skilly, and Zillis have entered in an old ruin, protected by a magical etching a snake, carved into the sandstone. Unfortunately for them, they found that the structure was filled with traps, one proving potentially fatal as their rogue lay at the bottom of a pit unconscious. A wave of skeletons makes their way into the room as we’ll pick back up. Can they survive and save their ally, or will they succumb to the Undead that protect this place?

Mission Summary
- Where we left off, Zilis was knocked back into a 20′ pit. He is unconscious. Skeletons were standing beyond the threshold, armed and ready to fight.
- The party were able to get Zilis back on his feet and took out the skeletons. Entering into the next room, they found a sarcophagus. Inside was a Wand of Fear and a pouch containing 600+ gp.
- Looking around the room again, they investigated the mural which showed a fight between Serpentfolk against Dragonborn, Elves, Firbolg, Dwarves, and Triton. Cities burning in the background.
- They then found a secret door that lead into a chamber where the bones of a large serpent were stored. It was protected by spectral guards.
- After interacting with the bones, it came to life and halted the battle. It thanked them for unsealing it and wanted to return back home where it could be laid to rest properly. It claimed that the victors told the story that day, but his perspective was much different.
- The party agreed to let it leave and sent it east towards the #Bearded Jungle. Once outside, it showed great sadness of what the land had become since it last saw it. Now deserts instead of lush forests.
- They stayed the night at Camp Mellem Klitterne and returned back to Sydund in the morning.
