Track down Vall before she kills again.

Mission Summary

• This is part two of “Hearts of Crystal“
• Next morning, party sets out to see if they can figure out where Vall went. Is she still in town or did she somehow escape? The front desk clerk suggested they connect with Mastema, the lead investigator, as she wants to be involved with them today.
• The town is completely on lockdown through the gates.
• They investigated Thorin’s Gem Workshop again, found a trail and followed it to the woods. Then, to the Owl Bar.
• At the Owl Bar, they found that Vall used to work there and usually spend every night there. But, last night, was only looking for one person: Aerdeth Liadon, the Gemcutter’s Head Honcho. Bar owner doesn’t quite give them all the details of some things that she was involved in, but gave them some leads. Cooperating, but on the down low.
• They learned that he was her initial teacher. Was supposed to meet with her last night, but after an hour of waiting, he left. Doesn’t know where she would be but is cooperating.
• They went to investigate at the Market District, which is where they met up w/ Mastema, the lead investigator. She helped them corden off the sewers and suggested they head down there. She joined.
• Once down there, they found someone strapped to a chair. It was Aerdeth, but looked to have been down there for a few days. And Mastema? Also a shape shifter. They were able to apprehend her.
• It’s now assumed that Vall escaped town through the sewers. What the shapeshifters have to do with this, time will tell.
