“Burial Mound Investigation, Part 3 – Agents of B.E.A.R.D. 031

The Assignment

Burial mounds were located a few hours northeast of ⁠Sydund. Investigate what is there and document anything you find for the ⁠Records Guild. Clear out any undead so that a team of archaeologists can go in and study them.

Reward: 50gp/per person/per mound opened up and cleared.

Mission Summary

• ⁠Shinichi had 7 days of downtime and struck up a relationship with Jasmine, the barmaid at the Guild Hall. She had a history with the ⁠The Red Knives in Easton. Was aware that “The Duke” was working on some land development and his people were looking for Shinichi.
• #”Draco” had 7 days of downtime and worked on armor upgrades, as well met with Reed, a merchant from Easton. Reed gave him a ruby he requested, but in return wanted more quartz samples from ⁠Landmark: Storm Island and for him to work on a project.
• That project was ⁠Salix, a very badly damaged ⁠Warforged, which they did not have enough knowledge to help with. They spent time together and Draco was able to help some.
• Once the party got together, they headed back to the burial mounds to continue their investigation. The first mound they unsealed and entered into, there was a sarcophagus with a bas relief. Once interacted with it, they found that it opened up a secret passage that lead to a structure underground.
• The first room had a statue holding 2 leather bags and two doors to the east and to the south. Svamp felt magic coming from the south.
• In the southern room, they found a teleportation circle and the warforged-like construct that they saw collecting bodies before.
