Supply Run to Sydund – Agents of B.E.A.R.D. 007

Assignment

The party decided that they wanted to head to Sydund. So, the Easton Captain booked them travel on the Dawn Chaser, which was taking supplies down to the fledgling town.

Mission Summary

• The party boarded the Dawn Chaser which would be making the 5.5 day journey to Sydund under Captain Eva Brandr.
• On the way, Captain Brandr put them under the order of Boson Grumbr Tawar and First Mate Cuyler Runa to learn the ropes.
• On the 3rd night, the Captain invited the party to her quarters for dinner to get a better idea of who they are. During the conversation, she talked about the lost ship at Sea, the “Fortunate Son”. During her last trip from Sydund, she picked up 3 of it’s sailors who were thrown overboard during a bad storm. She had interested in trying to locate the ship, to not only salvage supplies they might have, but also rescue any crew still alive. She was also aware of a rumor of an ancient artifact on the ship that needs to be delivered to the mainland for research (and profit). She requested their help and would be willing to set it up through the Adventurers Guild if she had to. The party seemed cautiously interested in taking the job.
• On the 4th night, they hit a bad storm. It knocked the ship off course and towards the mainland of “Storm Island”. More of a nickname that the seafarers gave it, not official. “There’s always a storm here.” But, closer to shore, they saw the ship. Looked like it was caught up in the surrounding reefs.
• They decided to keep heading towards Sydund to drop off the supplies, but aimed at heading out 2 days later to see what they can salvage from the boat.
